For GZDooM

For the Curent Release:
 

The Ultimate Chex Quest Release 6 requires GZDooM in order to run.  GZDooM is an open source DooM source port and is free to download and use.

Unlike earlier versions of The Ultimate Chex Quest, Release 6 now acts as its own IWAD. No additional files are required.

The Ultimate Chex Quest will also run using ZDooM or Zandronum, but may have problems in these two ports. T.U.C.Q. currently runs best in GZDooM.

A launch program, such as ZDL, is not required, but very handy if you don’t like DOS prompts or writing batch files to run the game. A copy of ZDL is available in the downloads section.
 
 

The Ultimate Chex Quest Release 5 requires GZDooM.

A copy of the Ultimate DooM IWAD is also required. The Ultimate DooM is a commercial product.
DooM II's IWAD may also be used with some minor compatability issues. DooM II is a commercial product.

Earlier versions of The Ultimate Chex Quest (Phase I and the Phase II betas) require the Windows version of DooM Legacy version 1.42 in order to run.
A copy of the Ultimate DooM IWAD is also required.

NOTE: T.U.C.Q. is only compatable with the Windows version of DooM Legacy and may not work with the Mac or Linux versions.

It is also possible to run DooM Legacy, and therefore T.U.C.Q., using the original Chex Quest IWAD (available in the downloads section as freeware) as a substitute for the DooM IWAD.  Click here for instructions.
